Important Mask Update

Your Board met this evening to discuss our current mask rule for the rest of the season. With much thought and discussion, we have chosen to make masks optional for our Scream event this weekend. The Board feels that families can leverage the large outdoor space and social distancing during the event so that removing the mask rule was the best decision.

The Board also chose to keep the mask rule in place for all of our remaining meets since swimmers and parents have limited space to distance. Much thought and discussion also went into this decision. Families signed up at the beginning of the season under this policy and it was decided by the Board that maintaining this policy was the most responsible decision for our team members and our guests.

The Board also decided to link the mask policy to our code of conduct which is explained in our handbook. We are close to closing another successful season and we need your help to do so. I do understand that much has changed since the beginning of the season and many of us are ready to hang up our masks, but we only have a few weeks left and our goal is to have our swimmer’s swim. Please review the safety protocol below and help the Board, the team, and our guests over the next few weeks by continuing to wear your mask while inside the fence.

Information Regarding COVID-19 Safety Protocols

The Round Rock Dolphins asks for your patience, flexibility, and understanding this season as we work together to navigate the ever-changing environment. The Round Rock Dolphins Board of Directors hopes to provide our swimmers with as much normalcy as is possible given the current circumstances. To accomplish this, the Board of directors expects everyone to follow all protocols below for the safety of our swimmers, coaches, and their families.

By attending any Dolphins event, including but not limited to meets, practices, or any Dolphins-sponsored special events, participants assume risks related to exposure to COVID-19.

The abuse of any of the following protocols by a swimmer or family member will result in a Round Rock Dolphin Swim Team Swimmer Code of Conduct violation.

COVID-19 Safety Protocols:

Masks must be worn by everyone on the pool deck (within the fence) who is not eating, drinking, or about to swim.

Maintain social distancing (6 feet) on the pool deck when possible.

All participants (including volunteers, swimmers, and coaches) and attendees must self-screen prior to arrival at any Dolphins-sponsored event. Anyone who is feeling unwell or who has a cough, fever, or any other symptoms of COVID-19 should stay home.

Concessions volunteers will wear masks during their shift.

The pool deck will be closed during practice except to swimmers and coaches.

The Round Rock Dolphins reserves the right to update these protocols given changes to city, county, and state guidance.

Thank you.

Brady Mills

Dolphathon is the 17th!

This seaons annual Dolphathon has been scheduled for Thursday, June 17th. Each swimmer is responsible for raising at least $65 (families with 3 or more swimmers need to raise at least $180). Unless you have paid out this donation in advance with registration, this fundraising is mandatory and will allow you to attend the Mid-Summer Night Scream Event. ***Prizes are given to the swimmers who raise the most money***

The following GoFundMe is available to donate online: https://www.gofundme.com/f/dolphathon-2021?utm_ca...

Checks can be turned in to the Munoz family folder. If you would like to pay cash, please email me at tere.munoz@gmail.com and we can meet at either the Dolphathon event or a swim meet.

***It is super important that each donation is assigned to a swimmer. That means each payment made via GoFundMe needs a message added with the swimmer’s or family name they are supporting.***
