7/6/2021 RRDvsBHCvsGTA - D2 Divisional Championship

What a great way to end the season. We had an amazing 206 personal bests, 19 Bingos, and several swimmers who qualified for the Summer Splash meet on their last swims. Congrats to all the swimmers who challenged themselves with new events and continued to improve throughout the year.
The 13-14 boys were back at their record breaking ways with two new records etched into Dolphin History.
Jaden Yue, Ian Darg De Lira, Cruz Eklund, Philippe Diaz broke their own record from last week by a full second in the Boys 13-14 200y Medley Relay. The new record stands at 1:47.63.
Cruz Eklund broke his own record in the Boys 13-14 50y Backstroke. The new backstroke record stands at 26.27, besting the old record by more than 0.5 seconds.
Lastly, the Round Rock Dolphins won the D2 NWSC Championship with an overall score of RR Dolphins (1338.5), BHC Tidal Waves (975.5), and GT Aquadillos (829). It was a great team effort with 99 swimmers contributing to our point total, almost half the team. Standout performances came from Top Point Earners: Dempsy Cho, Ryan Mills, Hannah O'Leary, and Cruz Eklund with each contributing 27 points to the team.

7/3/2021 - Round Rock Dolphins vs. Brushy Creek Marlins
Great Meet by the Dolphins. We saw some amazing times today with more than 250 time improvements and 4 old records broken. The kids did a fantastic job and swam very strong against one of our biggest rivals. The Dolphins beat the Marlins 357-291. Great job team. What a fantastic way to end the regular season.
New Records Broken:
Cruz Eklund, Ian Darg De Lira, Jaden Yue, and Phillipe Diaz broke a six year old record in the Boys 13-14 200y Medley Relay. Their time of 1:48.67 beat the old time by almost a full second.
Cruz Eklund beat the 4 year old Boys 13-14 100 IM record. Cruz's time of 59.34 takes the record from former Dolphin Tristan Olstad by 0.7s.
Jaden Yue, Ian Darg De Lira, Phillipe Diaz, and Cruz Eklund broke the Boys 13-14 200y Freestyle Relay record with a time of 1:35.50. That was their 2nd take down of a six year old record on the day.
Hannah O'Leary, Ella Bingham, Cammi Schaufelberger, and Ryan Mills smashed the Women's 15-18 200y Freestyle Relay by almost 2 seconds. Their time of 1:40.97 replaces a record from 2015.
Congrats to all our swimmers and a special congratulations to all our record breakers. Have a safe 4th everyone and we'll see you back at the Pool Tuesday for Divisionals.

6/26/2021 - Round Rock Dolphins vs. Anderson Mill Barracudas
It was a great meet by both teams with a lot of fast swims in the pool. Our swimmers continued to push 200+ time improvements, which is amazing for this late in the season. It is great to see kids continue to push themselves.
This was an extremely competitive meet against one of the fastest teams in the circuit. The Dolphins lost a very very close one 310-336. A great meet overall though.
We did get back to our record breaking ways with Hannah O'Leary breaking her previous 100 IM time of 1:00.24 with a sub-minute performance of 59.75. Congrats Hanna.

6/19/2021 - Round Rock Dolphins vs. Balcones Country Club Sharks
Dolphins won our virtual delayed results meet 431.5-185.5. Great meet for the team and may have been the fastest meet the Dolphins have ever run. Full Results linked below:
6/12 2021 - Round Rock Dolphins vs. Georgetown Aquadillos
I hope everyone had a great weekend. This week was our first Virtual meet and despite a few hiccups, things went pretty well and extremely quickly. I'm sure many also enjoyed the extra hour of sleep, and the extra time Saturday afternoon. Our swimmers continued their great success with almost half of their swims resulting in improvements. It is great to see the continued progress. That progress helped to drive the team to another win with the Dolphins winning 368-258.
We broke our string of new records this week with no new team best times this. Week. Up next is Balcones Country Club Sharks.

6/5 2021 RR Dolphins vs. BHC Tidal Waves
Another great meet for our Dolphin swimmers. Dolphins defeated the Tidal Waves 384.5 to 242.5. We also had another week of amazing improvements with 330 personal bests recorded and 49 swimmers recording improvements in all 3 individual events.
The 15-18 Women had a record breaking day with 3 Dolphin records falling.
- Women's 15-17 100 Free: Ryan Mills broke her own record from last week with a new time of 53.04.
- Women's 15-17 50 Breast: Hannah O'Leary broke Demi Waworuntu's record from 2019. The new record time is 31.09.
- Women's 15-17 100 IM: Hannah O'Leary broke Demi Waworuntu's record from 2019. The new record time is 1:00.24.
Congratulations to Ryan and Hannah and all Dolphin's who had improvement today. Hip Zoo Rah!!!

5/29 2021 - Round Rock Dolphins vs. Forest North Stingrays
What a great meet!!! It was awesome to see the kids back in the pool racing. The Round Rock Dolphins defeated the Forest North Stingrays 364 to 264. More importantly 185 swimmers had 416!!!!! time improvements.
A special congratulations to our record Breakers.
In the Boys 13-14 50y Backstroke Cruz Eklund broke a 19 year old Dolphin record with a time of 26.9.
In the Womens 15-17 100y freestyle 2 swimmers broke the record formerly held by Coach Cassie. Hannah O'Leary - 53.38. Ryan Mills - 53.28
