2025 Season General Meet Information

Howdy Dolphins!

My name is Harry Schultze and I’m the Meet Director of the Dolphins. As the Meet Director, my job is to make sure everything runs smoothly at our Saturday swim meets. This will be my 14th season and my second to last as the Meet Director. I would like to introduce Garrett Slay as our Assistant Meet Director. I will be in charge of Home meets and Garrett will be in charge of away meets, so expect to see pre-meet communications from Garrett for away meets this year.

We are 10 days before our first meet and swimmer sign ups for the meet on May 17th are now open! Sign ups will close Monday night at 7pm. Please go to our website and declare whether your swimmer will attend the meet and sign-up for their events.

If you are unsure of what events to sign them up for, please have your swimmer ask their Coach.

We have 3 mission critical Volunteer positions that need pre-meet training. We are in need of Volunteers to be a Starter, Stroke Judge, and Pit Parents. I’ve done all the jobs on the team and these are some of my favorite jobs. If you are interested in getting trained or would like more information, please reach out to our fabulous Volunteer Coordinator Ashley Miller. We also have quite a few other roles that are still in need of filling, so when you sign your swimmer up, please click on the volunteer jobs and pick one for the meet.

Finally, please be aware that the Code of Conduct has changed for the Circuit. All of us signed acknowledgement of it when we registered, but I was unaware of the changes until my training. It now gives the Home Meet Director the authority to remove any swimmer who displays unsportsmanlike conduct at the first infraction. I don’t know how the other Meet Directors will enforce this, so please talk to your swimmers before the meet so we don’t have to find out. My best advice is to ask your swimmers to stay in their pits and not interact with the other team. If the other team is displaying unsportsmanlike conduct, please have your swimmers talk to their Pit Parent, who will get me.

I’m excited to see everyone next week,

Sincerely,

Harry Schultze
