Volunteer Commitments

Volunteering is an integral part of our swim team. It takes more than 80 volunteers to run a single meet and we simply could not do it without help from parents. Based on our schedule, the number of families on our team, and the number of positions to fill each meet, we require that each family volunteer for a minimum of 7 shifts during the regular season (i.e. not including invitationals). Generally speaking, volunteer shifts cover half of the events or about 3 hours.

By checking, you acknowledge the requirement for each family to volunteer for at least seven (7) shifts during the season. Failing to complete this requirement will prevent your family from being invited to participate in returning swimmer registration next season.

"How do I sign up?"  Glad you asked!  We will open online volunteer sign-ups at a later date.  We will notify everyone via the website and email in advance.

When signing up online is available, please keep the following steps/guidelines in mind:

  • Shifts must be spread evenly across all meets, which means you should volunteer at every meet your swimmer(s) is participating in .
  • Sign up for at least one (1) shift at Divisionals if your swimmer(s) will compete
  • For all other meets, pick an equal number of 1 st and 2nd shifts
  • All volunteer sign-ups are reviewed and will be adjusted as necessary based on the rules above.

Please download and review the attached Volunteer Guide and Job Descriptions for more details:

2025 Volunteer Guide

Please contact our volunteer coordinator at [email protected] if you are interested in one of the key roles listed below:

  • Set Up and Tear Down Lead
  • Stroke Judges - This position requires a one-hour training session.
  • Ready Bench - This position requires a one-hour training session.

Fundraising Information

Dolphins strive to keep expenses manageable, ensuring that summer swim remains accessible for everyone. To achieve this goal, we host a variety of fundraising events throughout the season to support our team and help keep swimmer registration fees from rising. Your participation, along with that of your swimmer(s), is crucial for us to raise the necessary funds.

Our two primary fundraising events are:

Dolph-a-thon: This fun event invites swimmers to complete laps for their sponsors. Similar to last year, we have integrated the buyout option for Dolph-a-thon into the registration fees. While we still encourage families to engage in fundraising with their swimmers, it is no longer a requirement.

Online Auction: In early June, the Dolphins will host an online auction, which will be one of our largest fundraising efforts of the year. We will have a fantastic array of items available for bidding! Keep an eye out for emails and announcements as the date approaches—there will be a link to share so that friends, family, and neighbors can also participate and contribute. The funds raised from the auction will help cover operational costs, provide scholarships for families facing tuition challenges, and offer scholarship opportunities for swimmers advancing to college. We truly appreciate your support!
